The No Man’s Sky Forsaken update is version 7.10, and it landed on 28 October 2026, right in time for Halloween. It’s a spooky one: you scavenge haunted wrecks for mementos, trade them to strange new aliens, and bolt the results onto your corvette. It also sneaks in a pile of long-requested quality-of-life changes, and No Man’s Sky launched on iPhone and iPad the same day.

This post sticks to what Hello Games has actually published. The update isn’t in our item database yet, so the new items don’t have pages on this site. I’ll add links once the data is extracted.

What the Forsaken update adds

Here’s the short version:

  • Forsaken traders, who swap corvette modules for haunting mementos
  • Haunting mementos to harvest from infested outposts, hulks, derelict freighters and digsites
  • Biomechanical corvette modules, plus four new cockpits and the Legion-class interiors
  • The Larva Cannon Multi-Tool and the Larva Tank helmet
  • Space courier missions from deep-space outposts
  • Seamless warping to nearby stars without the Galaxy Map
  • A minimal HUD mode and a radial Multi-Tool mode wheel
  • A Holo-Arena challenger at deep-space outposts

Forsaken traders and haunting mementos

This is the core loop. Haunting mementos are described as “bizarre, horrifying biological samples,” and they turn up in the creepiest places the game has: infested outposts, deep-space hulks, derelict freighters, and buried among the bones at planetary digsites.

Don’t hang around while you harvest them. The patch notes say prolonged exposure draws hostile boundary horrors.

Forsaken traders can be summoned at space outposts. They collect mementos and pay you in corvette modules: cockpits, habs and biomechanical hull structures. Hello Games hasn’t published exchange rates or a full stock list, so I won’t guess at prices.

Biomechanical corvette modules and cockpits

If you already have a corvette, this is the part you’ll care about. The new modules come from forsaken traders, and you can build a full nightmare ship or just add a few creepy pieces to an existing build. Our corvette builds post is a good place to plan around them.

Four cockpits are named in the update:

Cockpit What Hello Games says
Vantage-class Ultra-wide, with a broad view of space and a minimalist interior
Hornet-class Segmented, insect-like panels, in three variants
Viper-class Underlit leather-bound panels and a gridded viewport, in three variants
Mantis-class Square-cornered panels and titanium bars, with three vent and fuselage varieties

There’s also a new interior set. Legion-class habitation modules are cruiser-style, with narrow ceilings, recessed lighting and stark angles. Hello Games’ Steam post says this set was “inspired by a distant galaxy.”

Larva Cannon and the Larva Tank helmet

Forsaken traders also sell a living Multi-Tool, the Larva Cannon, made from a larval exoskeleton. You pay for it with preserved grubs. The required quantity isn’t listed.

Dedicated memento hunters can unlock the Larva Tank helmet. It swaps your head for a parasitic larva writhing in an aquatic tank, which is exactly as gross as it sounds. It comes with the player title Mind Harvester. Hello Games doesn’t say how many mementos you need.

Space courier missions

Courier contracts turn you into a long-distance space trucker. You pick up package delivery missions at deep-space outposts and get paid to carry them between planets. You need a corvette and a Gravitino Coil to take them on.

Seamless warping

I think this is the biggest change for everyday play. Stars from nearby systems now show up as bright targets in deep space. Lock on and fly straight there, no Galaxy Map needed.

If your current mission points at another system, the nearby star gets the mission icon, so you can see which one to aim for.

Minimal HUD and the Multi-Tool mode wheel

The new minimal HUD mode shrinks the compass, hazard protection bars and mission notifications and hides markers you don’t need. Hello Games pitches it at experienced players. I’d try it in the new haunted wrecks.

The radial weapon selector lets you pick Multi-Tool modes from a wheel instead of cycling through each one. If you run a fully kitted Multi-Tool, you’ll notice the difference right away.

Deep-space Holo-Arena battles

Holo-Arena creature battles can now be fought at deep-space outposts too. A new challenger waits there with its own battle setup. If you haven’t tried creature battles yet, our Xeno Arena guide covers the basics, and the arena page lists the modes and leagues.

Quality-of-life changes worth knowing

A few smaller changes from the patch notes:

  • Off-planet bases can now be uploaded to the server so other players can visit them.
  • Mission guidance for pulling materials out of asteroid belts and hulks with a corvette and Gravitino Coil is better.
  • Deep-space materials from the Cosmos update can now be pinned in the Catalogue.
  • Exterior space station decoration parts are now in the Catalogue.
  • Planetary trading outposts have a corvette landing pad.
  • The Oxygen Harvester can be built anywhere on a planet’s surface, not just inside a base.
  • The research trees at the Construction Research Station have a cleaner layout.

There’s also a long list of UI, audio, multiplayer and performance fixes. Highlights include a fix for the void egg not attracting more living ships after Starbirth, fixes for freighter battles spawning in the wrong place or without pirates, and a fix for rare stack loss or duplication when moving items between inventories. The full list is on the official page.

Forsaken on iPhone and iPad

No Man’s Sky launched on iOS the same day, and Hello Games says Forsaken is included on day one. It’s free to try on iPhone 11 or newer and 3rd generation iPad Air or newer. Our iOS guide covers price, device requirements and what’s missing on mobile.
