NMS Expedition 23 Rewards Recap (Ended Oct 28)

Expedition 23 is over. It ran from September 16 to October 28, 2026. If you missed it, you can’t start it anymore. The rewards below are a record of what it paid out.

Our Journey Continues was the 10th anniversary expedition. Ten years of updates, developer commentary on the milestones, and a stack of exclusive cosmetics that leaned hard into nostalgia.

This page is now a recap: rewards, schedule, how it started, redeem steps, and the per-milestone objectives from Fandom. The wiki page is still marked stub, and a handful of cells still say ???. We copy what is citeable and leave the blanks alone.

When did Expedition 23 end?

Wednesday, October 28, 2026, per the Fandom wiki. Hello Games’ own post only said the expedition “will run for approximately six weeks” from its September 16 launch, and six weeks from September 16 is October 28.

What are the Expedition 23 rewards?

Hello Games listed six exclusive rewards. Fandom maps them to phases like this:

How Expedition 23 started

While it ran, there were two ways in, per Hello Games:

1. Expedition Terminus aboard the Space Anomaly
2. Fresh new save (convertible to Normal Mode later)

Usual expedition habits applied: pin the active milestone, follow the Expedition route on the galaxy map (not the galactic core path), and land at each rendezvous so it stays on your teleporter list.

Hello Games was blunt about spoilers. They resurrected older versions of systems and hid easter eggs for long-term players. Newer Travellers got a time capsule. Some mechanics felt dated until a later phase unlocked the modern version. That was the point.

Spawn and starting blueprints

Fandom: you spawned in the Paroi Major system, next to a starship with broken parts. Starting blueprints on that save:

How to redeem rewards

The expedition is closed, so this only helps if you finished phases and claimed them in the expedition Log before October 28.

1. On any save, go to the Space Anomaly → Quicksilver Synthesis Companion.
2. Redeem the exclusives you earned. Official note: they are available across all save games.

Quicksilver is the Anomaly currency you already know. The Companion is where expedition exclusives show up after you unlock them. The diplodocus / Diplo egg sits in the same companion ecosystem as other pets; see Companions if you need the broader pet loop.

If you played on a fresh expedition save, it can convert to Normal Mode. That is the usual expedition off-ramp.
